For Something Different, Try Mosaic Glass Tiles

My husband and I just finished building our house and, as an artist, I designed the kitchen. It was really important to me to be able to do something that’s never really been done before. So I started looking at mosaic glass tiles.

I went online to www.BuyTile.com because they had some of the best prices on glass tile. The reason I chose mosaic is because glass differs according to the slightest differences in how it is blown – from color to the way its fired, no two pieces of mosaic glass tile are the exactly same. From there, I decided how to create the pattern I wanted, using different colors and designs.

The final product is a sunset, because our house faces west and sits on a hill. I designed it with a menagerie of yellow, red, orange, and blue tiles, and the effect is really striking, if I do say so myself. I don’t want to take all the credit though, the quality of those tiles is what really makes it. And because there’s so much variation from each little glass tile to the next, it looks really unique. I know that this mosaic will be here forever.
